- The He Does It and Half
families live in a remote area on the Crow Indian
Reservation
beneath the Bighorn Mountains near Ft. Smith, Montana. We
are traditional and modern Crow Indians, who raise horses
and cattle on our ranch and feel strongly that our way is a
good way.

- Our concepts of being are
the things that make us happy and satisfied with
life. See how our way of life once was, how it is now.
and how the outside has affected changes in the Crow Indian
people. Participate in our lifestyle as we do our
daily chores, practice and live by our values, customs and
what we believe. Experience the richness of our life by
participating in how we live and combine both worlds.
-
- We will share some our
philosophies, myths and legends used to teach and instill
values taught to us from birth. Let us show you Crow
country in a way never seen by the outside.
-
- We call ourselves
Apsa'alooke, the Children of the Large Beaked Bird, but to
most, we are known as Crows. The Crow Indian can not categorize
their social or religious way of life like the
white man, because everything is interwoven (connected) and
our belief enters into every aspect of our life.
-
- West Fork is the home of
Half Quarter Horses. Good horses are a business with
us. Horses have played a great part in our
culture. Like our ancestors we take great pride in our
horses. We grew up amid horses, cattle and
rodeo. We have a sense about animals. A way of
life we love because of the unique blend of direction and
freedom.
