Authentic Indian Tepees
Crow, Cheyenne, Lakota/Sioux and Blackfoot

We are proud to be one of the few companies in the world that offer an authentic Crow Cheyenne, Lakota/Sioux or Blackfoot tepee.  There are seven reservations in the state of Montana as well as an annual international Indian fair-Crow Fair.

There is no other tent design superior to that of the tepee (tipi).  It is easy to pitch and provides plenty of room.  It also remains cool and well ventilated during summer use.  By adding a liner, comfort is enhanced in all weather conditions.  Benefits of the tepee (tipi) make it one of the more desirable forms of shelter available.  It is practical and simplistic in its beauty.  Kinney's tepees are more livable and durable than ever before.  The tepee (tipi) is assembled with double stitching and all areas of stress are generously reinforced using polyester thread that looks natural yet resists rotting better than cotton.  Nylon stake loops are sewn onto three layers of fabric.  The lacing pinholes are reinforced and sewn all around as well.

When considering the size of tepee (tipi) that will fit your needs, consider headspace.  At 6' from the ground, a 14' tipi tapers to roughly a 6' diameter circle while a 20' tepee (tipi) tapers to a 12' diameter circle.  The 18' tepee (tipi) is the most popular family size tepee we manufacture.  All Kinney's tepees are equipped with stakes, lace pins, smoke flap ropes, and a carrying bag.

The Crow Indian style tepee (tipi) is our standard design.  Other styles that we also manufacture are the Sioux, Cheyenne, and Blackfoot styles.  We even make a unique Kid's tepee.  Please inquire if you have a special design in mind and we will do our best to build it for you.  Be sure to check out our Tepee Styles, Tepee Liners & Doors, Tepee Ozans & Tepee Floors, Tepee Poles, and Canvas Option pages.
